Kyu grades and cards

In judo, we work with kyu grades: these are the colored belts that indicate a judoka’s progress and development. Each kyu represents a step in technique, insight, and attitude on the mat.

Within Shizen Hontai, we use assessment cards to evaluate these kyu grades. Thanks to our head coach Antoon Verblakt, who compiled these, it is clear to all members what they can learn to become an even better judoka.

This digital version is physically handed out to our members upon achieving their previous belt. You can also always ask your coach for one.
